Hybris to Aphrodite Series

The bust of Aphrodite, goddess of beauty and love in classical Greece, is covered with a wet cloth which drapes and covers her face. It is a new version of the famous wet drapery technique used by Phidias on one of the pediments of the Parthenon in Athens. The fabric act as a new skin covering Aphrodite’s white marble complexion with colour and graffiti.
